NTID Reunion, The End

Woke up early and walked with a friend thru the tunnels some more to see what was changed and unchanged. Much of the student art on the walls from my time is gone, painted over so that a new generation could put their own artistic expresson on the walls. It was challenging to find the few old ones from my time that are still there. I was unable to see the updated Corner Store below the NRH dorm because it was locked, but my friend had taken pictures earlier when it was open, for his website. It was surprising to discover that the Ritskellar that had been below Sol Heumann, is now a fast-food type place called Sol's. It just isn't the same - my fellow alumni fondly remember the Ritskellar, where we had parties, dates, and gathered to watch Dynasty on television.

One nice change is that there is now a tunnel extension that leads right to the Grace Watson cafeteria. It was clearly new; the walls had no artwork yet!

With the reunion over, we had to go to Wegman's nearby to get some breakfast. Wegman's supermarket is a place fondly remembered by alumni from the 80s. Returning to the campus to check out, we saw two deer run across the road! In all my years at NTID, I had never seen deer run across the road!
