Being a Relay Operator

Looking for Information on Relay - Forum member CAPJones2005 wants to become a relay operator, can anyone help this forum member out? It sounds like CAPJones2005 wants to know what is involved in being a relay operator.

I would say don’t do it! It’s not as interesting as one may think. The idea of being a relay operator is fulfilling. In reality at best it’s relaying mundane, everyday conversation; at worst it’s relaying phone sex and potentially credit card fraud scams.

Not is not true. I did it for a short time and it was very interesting and rewarding.

i enjoyed being a relay operator i couldnt stand the company i worked for but the job was good had a good time with it, learned alot about a different kind of culture that i never would hv before

It can be a interesting job, but at time’s it is also an annoying job. I think it all depends, on which company you work for. The customer’s aren’t so bad, but sitting in a room all day, trying your best to be perfect, because you never know when you are being monitored. It also can be painful to your wrists, and fingers. So, it can be a cool job, but is not for everyone.
