Child with AIED

My child is 8 and she was just diagnosed with AIED today. I need to find people who have knowledge about this disease, treatments and so forth. I have not seen anything on the message board indicating a child with this disorder. She did not go deaf overnight, it seems as though we always knew there was a problem.
