DC NTID Alumni Meeting

Last night at the DC NTID Alumni meeting, there were approximately 125 alumni from the '70s to the '90s in attendance. T. Alan Hurwitz, NTID's new director, told the audience about even more changes coming at the RIT/NTID campus and surrounding area. Sprint was the official sponsor for the evening, and Angela Officer and Randy Murbach gave the interested audience an overview of Sprint relay services, particularly newly launched services like CapTel and Relay Conference Captioning. Officer told the audience that there are fourteen NTID alumni working for Sprint! According to Hurwitz, the DC metro area is home to more than 400 NTID alumni, and there will be more alumni meetings soon - next one is planned for April.
