Surprised by Deaf Babies

Today's New York Times reports in an article on genetic pre-natal testing, that there is a test for deafness BUT many parents are not being told about it. A woman had a deaf baby and after she had the baby, she found out a test had been available that would have let her know her baby was going to be deaf, but she was not told about the test's availability.
