Oticon's New Syncro

Tuesday July 27, 2004
Oticon's newest hearing aids, the Syncro, have artificial intelligence. That means they actually do the listening for hard of hearing wearers. How much do these wizards of technology cost? They presently cost $5,500 for a pair (confirmed by an audiologist). Not bad when you consider that the average digital aid is in the $2,000 each range (Prices can be seen on the website of ahearingaid.com). What will Oticon come up with next, hearing aids that can be programmed to start the coffee maker?
