Which is More Important?

In the work force what is more important, Literacy or Speaking/Lipreading?...that is the title of the newest poll posted by Deaf111. Curious to see what people thought, I checked the present results (4 at the time) and found to my surprise, that it was running 75% in favor of speaking/lipreading..and here I thought that literacy was more important than the ability to talk or lipread!
