Wanting to Adopt Deaf Baby

Tuesday October 11, 2005
Demand for adoptable deaf babies is high, as evidenced by this post on the About Deafness/HOH forum:

My husband and I are interested in adopting a deaf baby. We can no longer have biological children. I have four children, my husband three, one of which was adopted. We dream of having a child together - he prefers a girl because all three of his children are boys. We are networking every day with the hope that someone will contact us and tell us they know a mother who is making the decision to place her deaf child for adoption.
