Deaf Children, Divorced Hearing Parents

Tuesday January 10, 2006
Kinainjungle asks on the forum:
Hi my name is Gina. I am doing a research paper on deaf children and divorced hearing parents. 1. How does the birth of a deaf child to hearing parents affect the marriage? 2. What are the most difficult problems for hearing parents raising a deaf child? 3. Do parents with deaf children have higher divorce rates? 4. What are the contributing factors to those divorces? 5. If the hearing couple divorces as a result of the birth of their deaf baby, how does divorce affect the deaf child's emotional development?
