Chat with an Interpreter

Saturday March 11, 2006
I recently attended a trade show in Washington, DC. One of the interpreters there happened to be from Louisville, Kentucky, the same place my boyfriend comes from. The intepreter told me that deaf people in Kentucky were having a very hard time finding jobs. In fact, that interpreter actually witnessed employers becoming uncomfortable and flustered and literally saying "aggh! deaf! how do we communicate?"
