I have seen that here in [Latin American country] there continues to be confusion. As the director of the local school for Deaf here in [city], I know of three very intelligent Deaf teens enrolled in the school for children with "mental retardation." I've talked to the parents, the teachers, and even the district supervisor. They don't see that it makes any difference. To them, my school is in the morning; these kids prefer to study in the afternoon and it's all the same. YIKES!
