I would say yes because I can read the english language. There will have interpreter in court system. I had been a juror in rape case a few years ago. I got a letter for juror at Lower Supreme Court in my state. I completed the forms and sent. Wait and see. I believe in judical system will provide the interpreters.

My wife received her jury duty letter a few weeks ago. As of last week, she was informed that it was canceled. She would have requested a certified ASL court interpreter. But it was for a much larger town (approx 80,000).

For me, so far I received two letters for possible jury duty. I requested in the letter that I would require access to CART system never knowing if I may need it (not likely but you never know). Twice I got off because of that (or at least I would like to think that). Understandably with a town as small as where I live such an accommodation request would be quite cost prohibitive.

I lived in Fairfax County for 17 years and have received jury summons 3 times, only to be let go. No explanation as to why I was dismissed, but I think it had to do with my requests for a certified ASL interpreter.

I DO NOT live in Faifax County, I live in Washington State. I have been called up for jury duty twice. Once,I had CART and the second time I had two male interpreters borrowed from Tacoma. Both methods worked great and I felt included, but I was not chosen either time. And they have not called me since, so I must have been crossed off the list. ~~Sigh~~ We Deaf people are tax paying Americans, we vote like anyone else. Why can’t they treat us like human beings?
