One thing about About.com is that this site has a huge international readership. Therefore, from time to time I will use this site to try to help in certain situations, such as the disappearance of a deaf woman in New Zealand. Emma Agnew has been missing for almost two weeks, and could probably be presumed dead as an intense search for her body is underway in New Zealand. She disappeared after reportedly meeting someone who planned to buy her car. The article linked below is only the most recently published article found:

The articles I have been reading mention that there is a website set up to raise funds for the search for Emma. Thanks to About.com readers, the URL for that website can be found in the comments to this blog post.

I found this donation site for Emma through EcoDeaf’s list of websites – Dave and Christy’s Discovering Deaf Worlds site has two blog posts on Emma:
http://discoveringdeafworlds.blogspot.com/2007_11_01_archive.html

Through that blog, I was able to get to the donation site:

Hope this helps!
