My teen had to do an ABC story in sign language (a story using the sign language alphabet) at his deaf school. He came to me for help, but I have no experience doing ABC stories in ASL. So, I turned to YouTube for help. There, I found plenty of ABC stories in ASL. Some of them are listed below. Which one do you think is the best one?
- ABC Song
- Bandit
- Bang Bang
- Cowboy
- Dessert Party
- Good Morning
- Gum Story
- Our Standing Friends
- Pot
- Snowmobile
- Steam Engine
- Stood Up
- Wrestling Match
Despite my pleas, he would not agree to do his ABC story on video for About.com. He did however, agree to let me post the written version (I did not help write it) of his ABC Story, "Deaf Club:"
- Open Door
- Enter
- Group
- Deaf
- Environment
- Look
- Umm
- Deaf
- Imagine
- Jerry
- Perfect
- Camera
- Memory
- See
- Nothing
- People
- Picture (Wall)
- Reason
- Put on the wall
- Tan
- Paint
- See
- Weird
- Scratch
- Shine
- Writing
(story continued with 1-5 numbers)
- Agree
- Look
- Heard
- Noisy
- Finish

Thanks for finding abc stories in the internet – shows my suspicion right that there are pithy few – u post encouraging more, I ll do likewise.
Need to post a couple of mine. Did you share yours with him? There are some abc stories inside you. I dare you to share. (devilishly grinning here)
TKC.
ABC stories are neat. You may want to list one handshape stories, too. Jehanne at http://www.jehanne.wordpress.com did many of them (Thanksgiving, Valentine’s Day, Memorial’s Day) and they are adorable, too.
