Got Hearing Aids, Kid? You're Fired.

Wearing hearing aids, kid? You're fired. That's what happened when a teenager with a hearing loss got a job at a Burger King in New Jersey. The Burger King franchise's owner (New Jersey Star-Ledger, February 13, 2008) saw the hearing aids and told the fast food restaurant's manager to get rid of the kid. The manager didn't want to fire the boy, but had to. The case was about to go to court, but the owner recently settled for an undisclosed amount.
