Hearing Aids and Mouth Movements

Even though others have stated that the cost of hearing aids is comparable to the cost of other luxury items (and can therefore be managed), it continues to be a hardship for some deaf and hard of hearing people, as seen in the comments by gkalice on the forum. As gkalice puts it, "i am trapped...make too much for public assistance and not enough to keep this merry go round going..." and she describes in full detail her fruitless efforts to get insurance coverage for hearing aids in the state of North Carolina.
