So Many Good Blogs. What to Do?

Wednesday May 14, 2008
Like you, I am starved for time. Then I look at DeafRead.com, and I am overwhelmed. So many good blogs and I can't read them all. Neither can you. Awhile ago, I experimented with a feature called "Blog of the Week." Now I am wondering if I should bring back "Blog of the Week" or should I just post "Blogs of Interest?" Obviously, I will miss many good quality blogs due to limited time for reading or watching blogs/vlogs. But as a guide for About.com, I feel a responsibility to at least bring to your attention some of the good blogs. Readers, what do you want me to do?

I agree… so many, so little time… whew!

Maybe you could list the weekly “titles” of the weekly blogs/vlogs and then just pick your favorite???

I look forward to seeing what everyone else wants!

Maybe you can just click on TOP for most recent 1 day old, 7 days old, 30 days old, even Top 10 and also click those who have high views and left most comments views. That should help… Hopefully? I understand what you mean… smile so T’care!

lots of bloggers take one day a week (often friday, for some reason) and post a list of blogs/posts they’ve read and liked during the past week. this is a very handy & interesting feature, and i occasionally do this myself. i’ve discovered some fabulous blogs that way. i encourage you to do it on about.com/deafness

I use Google Reader to moderate all my blogs. I am able to keep tabs on over 100 websites when they are updated just by adding their rss feed. I would like to see blogs of interest.

Some manage to read ‘em all but you know how they’re just people with too much time on their hands collecting welfare.
