Diabetics at Greater Risk for Hearing Loss?

Diabetes is very common, and I'm sure you know a hearing person who has diabetes. Until today, I did not know that hearing people with diabetes were at increased risk for hearing loss. The Gulf Daily News has an article on the results of a study done on diabetics, which found that diabetics are "twice as likely" to develop hearing loss.
