Can She Still Be a Speech Language Pathologist?

"Deafened Student" on the forum, who recently lost the remainder of her hearing, is getting cochlear implants in January. However, she is studying to become a speech pathologist and wants to know if she can still be a speech pathologist with the help of the cochlear implants. Are there any speech language pathologists out there with cochlear implants/hearing aids who can respond to "Deafened Student?"
