Deaf residents of the San Francisco Bay Area are in for a treat; pizza from a deaf-owned pizzeria soon to open. The article in Bay Area Bites mentions all the deaf people that the owners have hired. Interestingly though, it doesn't say if the lead cook is deaf.
I wish I knew if there were any deaf-owned restaurants in my area. I would be sure to eat there at least once in a while!

I think people should be aware of the BIG difference between “deaf owned” and “deaf operated”.
I am looking forward to dining at this glorious and most needed business. That being solely owned by the deaf. My granddaughter, Patrina is employed there and she is so happy to be able to obtain a job where she can feel comfortable with others that work there. She is so impressed. Can’t wait to go and enjoy. Good luck.
