Another Missed Day of School

For the second straight day, my child has missed school due to the protests at Gallaudet University. My child does not want to go to the campus to witness the protest, so I will not be going to the campus today. Meanwhile, a cyber-friend who talked to "reliable sources" gave me this unconfirmed information: some parents are reportedly withdrawing their children from the Model Secondary School for the Deaf (MSSD) high school, and also Kendall Demonstration Elementary School. According to the cyber-friend, "about 70 students left."

If this situation does not resolve soon, we may be faced with a similar decision. My child can afford to miss just so many days of school.
