These are the best movies about deafness that I have seen, or that are recommended by About:Deafness/HOH visitors.

The now-classic film that introduced Marlee Matlin, academy-award winning actress. I saw both the play on Broadway and the film.

An excellent documentary that has been nominated for awards; about two families struggling with the cochlear implant question.

Original version with Patty Duke, I saw it as one of the captioned films as a child.

About a musician whose son is deaf. I thought it was alright, but was not particularly impressed. Maybe you will feel differently.
