Definition: A CODA is an adult hearing child of deaf parents. CODAs have their own national organization, Children of Deaf Adults, Inc.. There is a holiday to honor deaf parents of hearing children, Mother Father Deaf Day. You can also read about one person's experience growing up as a CODA.
