There are several web sites that provide examples of signs online. Some offer drawings or pictures while others provide video or animation. All of them describe how to make the signs.

Web Sign Language Dictionaries

  • ASL Browser - This site consists of samples from a CD-ROM, so new new ones will ever be added. It does offer a very good selection of words though, organized alphabetically. It uses Quicktime videos of an adult signing the words.
  • ASLPro - Video dictionary divided into a main dictionary, religious dictionary, conversational phrases, and a baby sign dictionary.
  • ASL University - Site offers many words, organized by category. Photo illustrations and animations. ons and animated gifs. Most of the signs are associated with aviation.
