The kids are getting restless knowing that summer is just around the corner, and mom and dad are wondering what to do with the kids while they work. The answer for some, of course, is summer camp!

There are plenty of summer camps for deaf and hard of hearing children. The best listing of summer camps is maintained by the Info to Go. There is also a searchable database at Kids' Camps.

Summer camps are second only to schools for the deaf/programs for the deaf as places where deaf and hard of hearing children and teens develop friendships. Some of the better known camps have their own web sites:

For teens, the National Association of the Deaf offers a Youth Leadership Camp that is not just an ordinary camp, but a leadership training center.

A number of these camps also offer family camps that the entire family can go to.
