Question: What are sign language dialects
Answer: How the same word is signed can vary from one place to another. When I was in college, I found that the word "computer" was signed differently in Washington, DC from the way it was signed in New York. Gallaudet University Press has a book, "What's Your Sign for Pizza?" that examines this variation in American Sign Language. (compare prices)
