As more children get cocheal implants, more books are being published for kids on this topic. Here are some that are currently available, as of winter 2009.

My Hearing Loss and Me: We Get Along Most of the Time

This book by John F. Anderson about a boy with a cochlear implant was published in 2004 by Trafford on Demand Publishing.

Ellie's Ears

This book by Eliabeth Anne Boschini is a self-published book available through Lulu.com. It is about a young girl with cochlear implants.

Rally Caps

This book, by Stephen J. Cutler and Jodi Cutler Del Dottore, published in 2007, is about a hearing boy who befriends a deaf boy with a cochlear implant.

Happy Birthday to My Ears

This is another self-published book by Elizabeth Boschini from Lulu.com, published in 2008. The cover shows a young boy with a cochlear implant.

Abby Gets a Cochlear Implant

This book by Maureen Cassidy Riski has animals as the characters, and a young girl gets a cochlear implant. Published in 2008.

Where Is My Butterfly?

This book, by Alicia ST Romero, from a publisher in Spain, tells the tale of a girl who loses her cochlear implant external magnet.
