Deaf My Entire Life

I have been deaf all my life. I managed to live a successful life as a wife, mother and grandmother. My children went on to become successful in life in spite of having a deaf mother. They also presented me with eight grandchildren of whom I am so proud of. Naturally, my family accepted the fact that I am deaf but it was my grandson, Taylor who let me know that it works both ways. He was five at the time when he wanted to play computer games on my computer. I set him up on the computer and left him on his own. He later came to me and told me that he needed help. I let him know that he can do anything if he make up his mind to. He remarked, "If I am to be your ears, you are to be my eyes." Come to find out, he just wanted me to read the instructions to him. That is one memory I will not forget!
