What is Harris Communications:

Harris Communications, headquartered in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, has been around for over 20 years, having started as a mail order catalog that has since expanded to the internet with a sophisicated e-commerce site. The founder is closely associated with the deaf community.

Harris Communications Website Features:

The website has a search engine to enable quick finding of products, tabs for product categories, and even offers live support. The site has an electronic shopping cart. Each product has a "date added" notation, and also a display of products bought by others who bought the product.

Harris offers the following categories: books, equipment, media, novelties, and pagers. There is also a special store-within-a-store targeted at senior citizens. Each main category has sub-categories. For example, under books, subcategories include sign language dictionaries. Under equipment, a subcategory is ADA Compliance Products. The media category is where videos, dvds, and software can be found. The novelties category is especially large, offering all sorts of sign language-themed items.
