Question: Are there any deaf synagogues
Answer: There are synagogues for the deaf, but they are few in number. One is the Beth Solomon of the Deaf in Los Angeles, founded in 1960. In New York, there is the New York Society for the Deaf, which began as the Hebrew Congregation of the Deaf in 1907, founded by Marcus Kenner. In Skokie, Illinois, there is the Congregation Bene Shalom/Hebrew Association of the Deaf.
