Beginning Sign Language Series: Foods is a thin, colorful picture book of food signs for children, with 43 signs. A similar one from the same publisher is Beginning Sign Language Series: Fruits & Vegetables , with 39 signs.

Food Sign Language Video

The Bravo Family series includes "Beginning ASL Videocourse #2: Breakfast with the Bravo Family," a video that shows breakfast and dining signs. It can be viewed online for free on the website of the Described and Captioned Media Program. Another one is "Beginning ASL Videocourse #4: Let's Go Food Shopping," which teaches about shopping at a grocery store and is also available on the DCMP website.

Food Safety Information for Deaf People

The United States Department of Agriculture's Food Safety & Inspection Service offers a series of signed and captioned web videos on food safety. Topics range from E.coli to feeding large groups.
