Have you had the experience of already having a hearing loss, only to lose more hearing? Did you know you were going to lose more, or did it come as a surprise? When you lost more or learned you were going to lose more, did you feel like something was gone or going away from your life?

I did, when I progressively lost more hearing. I lost ability to have simple phone conversations. I could not understand unfamiliar hearing people. Although the doctors had warned me I would become totally deaf, I wasn't prepared for the feelings of loss.
