Poll: Gallaudet University President's Salary

Monday November 15, 2004
Today's Washington Post (November 14, 2004) reported that Gallaudet University president I. King Jordan earns $582,668 annually. Given all of his duties, both required and voluntary, does this make him underpaid? A poll has been placed on the forum to let the deaf community decide.

(1) Dr. Robert Menchel says:

The salary that King gets for running Gallauet is way over what he should be paid. This is higher than the President of Harvard University. In my opinion he has done a poor job and today Gallaudet is worse off than it was before he became President. The academic standards are lower, the inrollment is declining and it is no where near where NTID is.
