Has anyone used the Sebotek aid? I talked to a dispenser and the claim to work as good as digital. It looks more comfortable but would like any feed back. We need a powerfull aid for severe losses.

I have worn the sebotek and I use to sell them they were hard to fit and their rep did not show up to train me because he was laid off. I heard this week that they laid off over 50% of their sales staff including the director of sales and the senior audiologist. They now only have 2 or 3 outside sales…. so even if I wanted to stay with them because of the product I would not stay because the company is not stable. Everyone has a speaker in the ear product now.
I have checked with Sebotek because they have just come out with a new model that is better than previous and I love these in my ears. Cosmetics and sound better than anything else I’ve tried. Changes in company structure made for betterment of company. New model greatly improved. They are stable company and have a product that for me worked better than Micropower. I wouldn’t discredit nor discount them.
I would not purchase SeboTek again. And certainly not for anything more than mild hearing loss. They are difficult to program, so in the least I would ask the audiologist how many have they programmed and what the satisfaction level was. They are very pricey as well. I never could get the Telephone channel to work but didn’t realize that until I was outside the 60 days. Stick with hearing aids that are commonly handled by most audiologists.
I love them. I have been deaf for 40 years and did not know how bad untill I was fitted with my 410’s. Wow. Now I can hear high ffrequencies again, and for a musician that is important. Thank you SEBOTEK.
Take the test and get fitted and you might even get to hear you wife’s pretty voice again. lol.
They arer great.
I use the 720’s for over three years now and still I’m impressed. Working as a (semi) professional sound engineer I found these Seboteks far better than any other hearing aid.
Not only the frequency range up to 14 kHz, but also their sound quality.
I tried (as a tester) different marks, like Siemens, Phonak and Widex and they are inferior to Sebotek.
I am considering buying a Sebotex 800 series hearing aid. Can anyone tell me what they paid for a set?
I have a feeling that I am being overcharged at $5000 for a pair
Donna R: Find another audiologist if s/he has trouble programming a hearing aid. When digital hearing aids came out, it all-but idiot-proofed getting a decent fit; whereas back in the analog days, it took skill to get a god fit .AND. satisfy the client — Not always the same thing, too.
