Re: New Jersey Moms Battle for Hearing Aid Coverage..This is long overdue. Hearing Aids for hearing impaired children (and adults) are not an option. They need to be covered just like any other medical necessity. I know…I need them and can’t afford them!

Where I work, I work in a deaf school and I have benefit. My insurance does cover both my hearing and I think that it should be demand for any and all insurance to cover because it is a necessity for them to have.

Something needs to be done about this injustice. How can insurance companies decide that vision coverage is warranted but not hearing aid coverage.I posed that question to our insuance company.Who are they to decide that it’s more imporant to see than hear. That’s the message they send by not covering any cost of hearing aids.
