Deaf U.K. Author Writes Children's Books

Tuesday April 10, 2007
An About visitor made me aware that there is a deaf author in the United Kingdom who has written many children's books. Her name is Joyce Dunbar. She has done at least two children's books that include deaf characters: Moonbird, and the out of print Mundo and the Weather-Child. Her website, www.joycedunbar.com, does not mention that she is deaf. The fact she is deaf was published on this page at JustOneMoreBook.com.

How cool– I just discovered that she’s the author of one of the books that I use frequently, “Tell Me Something Happy Before I Go to Sleep.”
