Just reviewed, Moments of Truth: Robert R. Davila, The Story of a Deaf Leader. From the Foreword to the Afterword, this was an excellent book and I had a hard time finding anything negative to say about the book. The authors very appropriately call him "Bob," because Moments of Truth is much more than just a showcase of Dr. Davila's stellar career in deaf education; it is also a portrait of the man's character.
Speaking of his stellar career, did you know that Dr. Davila may be responsible for the continued existence of some schools for the deaf? Or that he had applied earlier for the job of Gallaudet University president and been turned down, only to ironically get it after he had "retired?"

I was hoping that the Board of Trustees would have selected Dr. Davila for president of Gallaudet University in 1988(he was one of the six candidates).
