I walk into a crowded room
people talking one to another.

It frustrates me to have to ask
them to repeat themselves and others.

The deafening noise swirls around me
like the noise the river makes.

Trying to catch a single voice
is like catching a single snowflake

I want to hear, I listen close.
I'm to tired to concentrate.

I'm suddenly aware of my noisy/silent state
and I am reminded of my hearing impared fate.
