What is the International Federation of Hard of Hearing People:
An international organization of organizations of hard of hearing people, founded in 1977. Headquartered in Europe. Twenty-nine countries are members.
IFHOH Membership:
In the United States, the following organizations are members of IFHOH: The Association of Late Deafened Adults, the American Tinnitus Association, Hard of Hearing Advocates, the National Technical Institute for the Deaf, Hearing Loss Association of America, and the Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
Publications:
IFHOH publishes the IFHOH Journal, some copies of which are available online. Also publishes the EFHOH Newsletter.
Conferences:
IFHOH holds regular World Congress conferences. Information is available on the website. At these conferences, papers addressing hard of hearing topics are usually presented. Some papers can be downloaded from the IFHOH website.
